Welcome to openoggfile.com. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of this website, its articles and its free online OGG player, trimmer and converter (together, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
Questions? Email hello@openoggfile.com.
1. The Service
openoggfile.com provides a free, browser-based tool to open, play, trim and convert OGG, OPUS and OGA audio files, plus guides about audio formats.
The Tool runs in your web browser. Your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. See our Privacy Policy for details.
2. Free to use
The Service is free for personal and commercial use. You don’t need an account. We may change, pause or stop any part of the Service at any time, without notice.
3. Your files and your responsibility
- You are responsible for the files you open, convert or download with the Tool.
- Only use files that you own or have the right to use.
- Don’t use the Service to copy, convert or share material in a way that breaks copyright or any other law.
- Keep your own backup of important files. Always keep the original when you convert or trim a file.
Because your files never reach our server, we don’t review, store or control them.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything illegal or harmful;
- try to break, overload, hack or disrupt the website or its servers;
- use bots or scripts to scrape the site in a way that harms its performance;
- copy the website’s design, code or articles and present them as your own;
- post spam, abusive or illegal content in comments.
We may block access or remove content that breaks these rules.
5. Our content
The articles, text, graphics, logos and design of openoggfile.com belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You may:
- read and share links to our pages,
- quote short parts of an article with a clear link back to the original page.
You may not republish full articles or large parts of the site without written permission. To ask, email hello@openoggfile.com.
Product names and trademarks mentioned on the site (such as Windows, macOS, iPhone, Android, VLC, WhatsApp or Audacity) belong to their owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
6. Third-party software and links
Our guides mention and link to third-party software and websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, safety, pricing or availability. Download software only from official sources and use it at your own risk.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep the Tool accurate and reliable, but we don’t promise that:
- it will work with every file, browser or device,
- it will be free of errors or interruptions,
- converted files will be identical in quality to the original,
- information in our articles is always complete or up to date.
Software and devices change often. Always check important steps against the official documentation of the product you’re using.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, openoggfile.com and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage from using, or not being able to use, the Service. This includes lost files, lost data, lost profits or any indirect or consequential damages.
Because the Service is free, you use it at your own risk.
Some countries don’t allow certain limits on liability. In those places, these limits apply only as far as the law allows.
9. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on openoggfile.com infringes your copyright, email hello@openoggfile.com with:
- a description of the work you believe was copied,
- the URL of the page on our site,
- your contact details,
- a statement that you believe the use is not authorised,
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
We’ll review and respond promptly.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when they last changed. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new Terms.
11. General
- If any part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don’t enforce a right right away, we haven’t given it up.
- These Terms are the full agreement between you and us about the Service.
